I enjoy heavily colorful photos when I'm in the right mood. I like to enhance the colors myself. I love the shot, beautiful scenery, the road also carries a deeper idea. However, the sky is too contrasting and seems too dramatic for the landscape, which is dramatic on its own. It's good to keep the balance in a shot. An example of what I mean: in makeup, when you shade your eyes dramatically, it's not good to wear dramatic lipstick, and vice-versa. I'd make the sky softer because the land and waterscape is detailed and interesting enough. Just a suggestion, because you asked Love the shot.
I think the whole thing is just too overdone if Im honest and the quality has been lost through the editing process.I like the composition and the path along the river bank makes for a great leading line but other than that its a complete misfire,Ive since taken much better shots of the same area (well ...better than this anyway).
Wow,now theres a blast from the past,I used spend time around there when I was little. This part of the Mersey is further down into south Manchester around the Northendon area.I'm not sure how far it is if you were to follow the river as it curves and winds deceptively but its probably about 20 or so minutes away by car.
