Destituo Praestolor by 4420 Destituo Praestolor by 4420
Southern Cemetery:Manchester,England

Please view full size,thankyou.

The english language translation is (hopefully) 'A Place to Wait',although 'destituo' can also mean to set down, leave in a lurch or abandon which (again hopefully) lends a little more gravitas to the piece.
It's such an amazing language,I just couldn't resist using Latin.

Comments and suggestions are always very welcome:)

Hahah that's so cool,it's a small world after all=D
I'm hoping for more snow this year so I can get some snowy grave goodness, the one's I took of Southern Cem last year didn't quite turn out as I'd have liked.

Thank's mate:w00t:

Really nice! How do you get these kind of colours? Did you use some HDR?

Thankyou very much.

I used both a HDR process and a straight conversion from a RAW file and merged the two in photoshop.I wanted the details and some of the tones HDR lends a shot without it being 'too' HDR if that makes sense:)

Sorry for the slow response by the way.

The light from the landing alien spaceraft is bathing the background in white.. nice. I wonder if an IR filter would give a similar effect if I back blended it into a normal HDR forground.....hmmm ideas...I have an IR filter coming but have no idea what to do with it hehheh
Fav on this one for its sureal and interesting light play.

I was quite surprised the writing shows up quite aswell as it does, especially given the bleaching light in that part of the shot.My camera normally isn't too friendly with finer details like that........maybe I've been using it wrong.
