I was spammed in the early in the hours of this morning.....not as dirty as it sounds....by someone who clearly has neither an interest in art nor a desire to create their own.I have absolutely no clue what the purpose of the spamming was as the message was written in a foreign language.....possibly Arabic but I havent got a clue in all honesty.It could be as misguided as an attempt at drumming up attention for a new site or as malicious as links that lead to a virus etc.
To be honest though what I find wholly more worrying is the number of other people who have gone to this persons site to 'suggest' that perhaps this person is a terrorist.......hmmmn......Arabic text.....well thats conclusive....lets all take a day trip to Guantanamo bay (it may not be clear in text form but that last part should be read with more than a little sarcasm).
I mean seriously people dont use a site thats biggest selling point (for me anyway) is the coming together of millions from all around the globe,of all faiths and cultures,creeds and class for one unified purpose (the love of art) if your mind is so entrenched in its pre-concieved notions and stereo types that you are unwilling to look beyond.....well Ive run out of steam and can't think of any clever words but you get the gist I hope.

As Ive said in a previous journal I dont like witch hunts so Im not posting links and the people I am refering to may well just be misguided kids unaware of the potential offence caused but let me say this ...if you strongly disagree with the point I am making or are of the opinion that anyone who speaks an eastern dialect is a 'terrorist' by default, please feel free to leave a comment on this journal but then fuck off....the pageviews just aren't worth it.
